kite and surf cruise

Mixing the two biggest high on earth in paradise through a kite cruise is the summun of riding holidays : for the ones who can never decide between kiting and surfing, these water sports focused cruises are like lotery tickets.

During a kite and surf cruise, guests get to do both sports according to what conditions are best for one or the other.

Knowing surfing and kiting are totally complementary in terms of required conditions, doing both truly allows one to make the most of the forecast, especially in the Caribbean.
It would be lying to say that the Caribbean have the consistency of Mauï, however, the swell can turn out to be very good more often than expected!

And surfing in pristine clear water without neoprene beats almost everything...

One can observe two wave season in the Caribbean:
- the first one in winter time -December through March-, brings very good northerly swell which turns the BVI's, St Martin as well as Guadeloupe into surfing paradises.
- the second one is summer and fall -August through November- with Hurricane season, which can turn all the Caribbean both into hell or into heaven...

In both cases, having clean swell depends totally on luck and not on exact science. But if you're lucky, your Caribbean journey could count among your sickest surf trips....

A kite and surf cruise is usually dedicated to experienced kitesurfers and doesn't accept children on board.
It is adapted to both experienced and beginner surfers.
It's an ideal option for groups of kitesurfers willing to have a no wind activity available on board or including keen surfers, as well as any riders willing to try surfing.

Choose your boat for your kite and surf cruise

Along a kite n' surf cruise, all the services initially included in a kite cruise are maintained, and surfing facilities are available aboard.
Experienced surfers will have at disposition a surf guide (the captain), who's sometimes surf instructor as well, who will drop them at the best surfing spots along the cruise, whenever there's a session to take.
This will be done alternatively to kitesurfing, usually picking the sport that will provide the best conditions.
Surfing spots choice just like kitesurfing spots choice depends on the group averall level and will be determined accordingly.
Beginner surfers are welcome aboard kite cruises offering surf instruction. They will have beginner surfboards at disposition on board and will get a chance to practice on safe beginner spots whenever the conditions to do so are met.
Whether they're open to experienced surfers or beginners, kite cruise offering the surf option always include surf boards available on board.
They're either included in the cruise price or available for rental (this will be clearly precised on the cruise detail).
